This is an intricate braid I first saw in the handle of an old sword found in the 1,000 years old Viking stone parliament in Reykjavik, Iceland. I was able to reproduce it, after seeing a lady in a Danish park braiding her girl's hair in this pattern. This ring is handcrafted by us in California from rose & yellow 14 karat gold filled and sterling silver wires, it is stamped 14K/20. We construct each piece from wires which are shaped into our design, coiled, cut and solder as rings (if you look carefully you may see the soldering joint showing is handmade). As a final step the ring is carefully heat-treated, this last time-consuming step does not add to its beauty, but it allows the ring to remain malleable so it can easily be sized for a perfect fit.
